Listed below is a comprehensive list of services we perform. You choose which services you want to include in your Land Management Plan. During our initial visit we will discuss the aspects of each service, and pricing. Call or email anytime if you have questions.
Land Management

Plan
As a new client, our experts sit with you and listen to your short and long term goals for your Land. We perform an assessment of your land resources. We provide ideas for its best uses including preservation and conservation. From that, we draft a comprehensive Annual Land Management Plan and work together with you in coming up with a timetable and budget.

Personnel
We provide qualified and experienced full-time or part-time staff necessary to fulfill your plan. Since the personnel are our employees, we provide the supervision, training, pay, insurance, and benefits, and OSHA compliance. You do not have the risk or responsibility of finding and paying your own help.
Alternatively, we offer the option of either working alongside your helpers, or take on your existing personnel, train them, and move them to our payroll.

Maintenance
We perform routine land maintenance such as brush clearing, road and trail upkeep, fence upkeep, and litter removal. As well as extraordinary projects such as reclamation, major repairs and improvement projects. We can also provide upkeep and improvements of any dwellings or other structures.

Equipment
We offer the option of maintaining and using your equipment, or we otherwise use our own equipment. Personnel are trained to operate and use the equipment properly.

Security
We offer perimeter patrols, camera surveillance, and fire and intrusion initial response.
Forestry Management

Survey
Our experts provide a comprehensive survey of tree species, count, density, and meadow and wetland areas, and overall evaluation of condition.

Husbandry
Our experts using natural methods and organic materials will treat ailing trees, down or clear out infected or hazardously located dead trees, trim trees as necessary for better health, and mitigate situations to minimize fire hazards. Our experts can develop a timbering plan with minimal impact to the forest environment and balance the biomass with recommended reforestation of other areas of your land.

Restoration & Reclamation
Our experts develop a plan for restoration of forested, meadow, or wetland areas involving the extraction of dead and ailing trees followed by the planting and replanting of optimal species. To help keep your Land’s biomass in balance, we make recommendations to add an environmental feature on an area of your Land in exchange for the elimination of another.

Preservation, Conservation, and Carbon Credits
Our experts develop a plan to either preserve your forested areas to be left untouched, or to be properly put into conservation with minimal impact by the public upon you, the landowner.
Sacred Land Management has the ability to sell the preservation of your forest as carbon credits to entities that need the offset towards their carbon footprint.

Cultural Burning
Our experts develop a plan and perform cultural burning of the forest floor to not only reduce the hazard of potential forest fires by reducing fuel, but the result also provides a nourishing environment for the rejuvenation of native flora.

Forest Gardening
Our experts develop a plan, and either guide you or perform for you, using the natural environment of the forest for the cultivation of crops by replacing wild plants with vegetables, herbs, shrubs and fruit plants.
Utility Easement Management

Clearing
We clear your utility right-of-way by manually trimming the woody vegetation. We do not use poison. Keep the utility company from poisoning your land that can leech into your aquifer.

Restoration
We plant native flora within the right-of-way that meets utility company requirements, and bring aesthetically pleasing views to that area.
Wildlife Management

Survey
Our experts with the use of camera surveillance and direct observation, provide a comprehensive survey of the types and estimate count of various wildlife on your land.

Husbandry
From the survey information gathered, our experts provide a plan for the sustaining of wildlife to include adequate food sources and natural shelter. Non-native species can be extracted and relocated.

Preservation
Our personnel will post no trespassing and no hunting signs along your property perimeter, track any trespassing hunters with camera surveillance, and challenge intruders in person to be escorted off your land. Or, if you choose to allow hunting on your land, our personnel can be in place to make certain hunting rules and bag limits are followed. We make sure that all animals are killed honorably.

Coalition
We work with our own clients and neighboring landowners to develop recognized sanctuaries for various high profile wildlife such as bear, panthers, and other special species.
Horticulture Management

Wild Flora Husbandry
Our experts provide a survey of wild flora and develop a plan for the sustaining of native flora and eradication of invasive flora using natural processes and materials.

Organic Gardening/Farming
There is such a good feeling of eating organic fruits and vegetables from your own land. We work with the local community of organic farmers and can arrange for your arable or pasture land to be leased or lent to help a farmer. Alternatively we develop a plan with your intentions and take on the planning, planting, and care of an organic garden, whether for vegetable, or fruit and nut trees.
Conservation Trust Management

Exisiting Land Trust
If your land is already in a conservation trust with established guidelines, our personnel provide the implementation and policing to assure the guidelines are observed and documented.

Placing Land Into a Conservaton Trust
If you are curious in researching or interested in placing your land in a trust, we can help. There are a myriad of ways and types of land conservation trusts. There are several popular national, and often local or regional worthwhile trusts with good intentions you could join. You can also place your land in a personal customized land trust. Our experts can guide you through all the nuances of land trusts and match those programs that best reflect your intentions.

Conservation Coalition
We at Sacred Land Management believe the future for the best preservation and conservation of land is in the hands of private ownership. The support of public lands remains essential but can be mired in politics and divisive interests of land use. It is our intent to develop and support a coalition of private conservation land trusts for the future of our planet. We can share our vision as to how you can participate with your land.
